Woman killed in apparent hit-and-run

A woman was killed Monday night in an apparent hit-and-run crash in Tomball, officials said.

Police responded about 7:45 p.m. to the 22300 block of Hufsmith-Kohrville Road where they found a woman dead on the side of the road, said Chief Jeff Bert.

It appeared the woman had been struck by a vehicle, Bert said. The victim was not immediately identified, but police believe she was in her 20s.
