OFFENSIVE LINE

All five starters returned after improving in 2019, and none played as well this season. For the most part, the run blocking was terrible until the last two games when injuries forced three new linemen into the lineup. The pass protection was woefully inconsistent. The Texans can offer the new coach tackles Laremy Tunsil and Tytus Howard and center Nick Martin, who had his best season in 2019 but dropped off considerably this season. The Texans need a new right guard to replace Zach Fulton in the starting lineup. Backup tackle Roderick Johnson played well when given a chance near the end. Left guard Max Scharping has a lot of improving to do in his third season. Rookie tackle Charlie Heck showed some promise near the end of the season.
