QUARTERBACK
Deshaun Watson had an outstanding season working with Tim Kelly, his offensive coordinator and quarterback coach. He established career bests with a 112.4 rating, 33 touchdowns, seven interceptions, 4,823 yards, a 70.2 completion percentage and an 8.87 average per completion. He also ran for three touchdowns. No matter how many receivers he lost because of injuries and Will Fuller’s suspension, Watson continued to excel. He was sacked 49 times, second-most of his career. He caused some sacks by holding the ball too long, but he also avoided a lot because he’s an escape artist. What Watson needs to improve next season is success in the red zone. The Texans were 25th (54 percent) in red-zone touchdowns.
