Wood sits out with sore knee

- Jonathan Feigen

Rockets center Christian Wood was ruled out of Wednesday’s game against the Indiana Pacers with a sore left knee. DeMarcus Cousins started in his place.

Wood was one of just two Rockets players, along with forward P. J. Tucker, to start in each of the season’s first five games. The Rockets faced a Pacers team that starts a pair of big men, Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner.

Wood has scored at least 20 points in each of the Rockets’ five games, matching the final games of last season for the longest streak of his career. He is the only player in the NBA averaging at least 20 points, 10 rebounds and two blocked shots.
