Winter storm may bring snow in northern area

A winter storm watch has been issued for parts of the Houston region from noon Sunday through noon Monday, according to the National Weather Service, and the chance of snow accumulation is increasing.

About 1 to 3 inches of snow are expected north of Houston, with more possible in some areas.

The greatest chance of snow is north of Texas 105, though a rain-and-snow mix may extend as far south as the Interstate 10 corridor. Heavy rain is possible south of I-10.
