Texas State student missing nearly a month

A 21-year-old Texas State University student from Missouri City has been missing for nearly a month.

Jason Landry was last heard from on Dec. 13. His Nissan Altima was found crashed and abandoned on a rural South Texas road about 30 minutes away from the San Marcos campus. His wallet, phone and keys were found inside the car.

Clothing was found about 900 feet from the crash, according to the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office.

Search crews used horses, dogs and helicopters, but they eventually suspended their efforts.

“Investigation of that accident scene leads authorities to believe that the operator was able to walk away from the collision with little or no injury,” the sheriff’s office said.
