Alabama’s Saban wins Bryant Award

Nick Saban on Monday night snapped Paul “Bear” Bryant’s record for NCAA championships with his seventh following Alabama’s victory over Ohio State. Saban has won six at Alabama and a previous title at LSU in 2003.

On Wednesday night Saban then won the Paul “Bear” Bryant Coach of the Year Award, the second time he’s won the Houston-based honor but the first time as Alabama’s coach. Bryant won all six of his national championships at Alabama.
