City takes next step with flood recovery plan

After receiving a grant award letter from the Texas Division for Emergency Management, Jersey Village is taking the next step toward implementing a Long Term Flood Recovery Plan for the city.

The award letter, dated Dec. 28, details that a subgrant totaling $4.9 million was issued for Wall Street drainage system improvements and a berm around Jersey Meadows Golf Club, with a federal share of $3.68 million and local cost of $1.2 million. The plan is in response to the Tax Day flood in 2016.
