Investigators eyeing death of 5-year-old

Houston police investigators are seeking more information in the recent death of a 5-yearold boy.

The boy, identified by police as David Niwamanya, went to a playground around noon Jan. 3 at his apartment building in the 6100 block of Glenmont. After several minutes, his father went outside and noticed him struggling to get back up the stairs, according to Houston police.

Paramedics took him to a hospital, where he died. The child showed signs of bruising, police said, but it’s unclear what caused the injuries.
