UH reserves pace rout of Temple

Tatyana Hill came off the bench to finish with a double-double and had 16 points and 11 rebounds as the University of Houston cruised past Temple 80-46 on Wednesday at the Fertitta Center.

Laila Blair led the Cougars with 19 points off the bench. Miya Crump added 15 points, Dymond Gladney had 11 and Britney Onyeje had 10.

For Temple, Jasha Clinton led with 14 points and six steals.

NO. 9 BAYLOR 77 OKLAHOMA STATE 58

Moon Ursin scored 20 points and the visiting Bears bounced back from a rare loss to beat the Cowgirls.

Nalyssa Smith had 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Didi Richards added 11 points, six rebounds and seven assists for Baylor (9-2, 4-1 Big 12).

Natasha Mack scored 21 points, and Ja’Mee Asberry added 17 for Oklahoma State (9-5, 5-3).

TEXAS 71, TCU 54

Charli Collier led the way with 23 points and 20 rebounds as the host Longhorns routed the Horned Frogs.

Joanne Allen-Taylor finished with 18 points, and Celeste Taylor added 14 for Texas.

For TCU, Michelle Berry led with 14 points, and Lauren Heard had 13.

Men NICHOLLS STATE 92 HOUSTON BAPTIST 83

Ty Gordon scored 27 points, Andre Jones added 23 more off the bench, and the Colonels beat the Huskies at Sharp Gymnasium.

Pedro Castro led Houston Baptist with 17 points and seven rebounds, and Brycen Long finished with 15. Za-Ontay Boothman and Myles Pierre added 11 and 10 points, respective­ly.

GEORGIA TECH 83 NO. 20 CLEMSON 65

The Yellow Jackets returned from a 17-day layoff, routing the visiting Tigers as three players scored more than 20 points.

Michael Devoe led the way with 22 points, while Moses Wright and Jordan Usher chipped in with 21 apiece.

Aamir Simms scored 19 points to lead the Tigers.

PROVIDENCE 74 NO. 11 CREIGHTON 70

Nate Watson scored a career-high 29 points and the visiting Friars turned back the Bluejays each time they pulled close.

Alyn Breed had 15 points, Duke added 12 and Jimmy Nichols Jr. scored 10 for the Friars.

Damien Jefferson scored a career-best 26 points for the Bluejays. Marcus Zegarowski had 17 points and Christian Bishop added 12.

NO. 10 WISCONSIN 68 NORTHWESTE­RN 52

Tyler Wahl paced a balanced attack with 14 points and the host Badgers pulled away in the second half for a victory over the Wildcats.

D’Mitrik Trice added 12 points, Brad Davison 11 and Potter 10 for Wisconsin (12-3, 6-2 Big Ten).

Audige had 16 points and Miller Kopp 10 for Northweste­rn (6-7, 3-6), which has lost six straight.
