Janett Mailloux, a resident at The Abbey at Westminste­r Plaza’s assisted living community, enjoys activities to keep her flexible.

And The Abbey’s calendar is filled with activities to motivate residents with purposeful recreation.

“There’s always a lot of laughter at Noodle Ball There’s always a lot of laughter during noodle ball. and that’s great for their spirit, too,” said Jill Merfish, activity director. Along with exercise classes like chair yoga, tai chi, and “Afternoon Stretch,” and “Let’s Bake” classes help residents maintain the dexterity in their hands and keep joints healthy and strong.

The team makes it fun to stay alert and connected with others.
