Steven Hernandez, 56, was born on April 20, 1964 in Houston, Texas and was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 20, 2021. Steven was a loving husband, father, uncle, cousin, mentor and friend. He loved sports especially watching his Houston teams and coaching his son, nieces, and nephews in little league baseball where he created life-long friendship­s. Steven began his craft career as a welder’s apprentice and soon after grew into his expertise as a machinist at Conhagen Inc. in La Marque, TX. On the weekends, Steven would host parties where he shared his delicious home-cooked meals, and his hilarious jokes that received many hard laughs in his beautiful backyard oasis. He dedicated his love and time to his favorite hobbies, golfing, fishing, and gardening. On Christmas Eve, he would play Santa Claus to spread magic to all of his nieces and nephews who would jump in anticipati­on to see him. Steven was a 21-year 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus Bishop Byrne Council #3077. Known as a friendly and down to earth companion who grew up in Ingrando Park, and became a loving and dedicated family man. He leaves behind to fulfill his legacy and cherish his memories forever, his loving wife of 30 years, Debora Hernandez; his children, Devin Lorin and Steven Conrad; his brothers and sisters, Lillian & husband Manuel Soto, Andrew & wife Lily Hernandez, Louis Hernandez, Grace Hernandez, Carol & husband Corando Saenz Jr., Sandra & husband Ysidore Torres, Michael & wife Patricia Hernandez, and Elizabeth & husband Roland Gaytan. He is predecease­d by his parents Aurora & Conrado Andres Hernandez. He also leaves behind his loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and numerous close friends. Steven will be dearly missed by those he raised, advised, and touched with his large heart and humorous spirit.
