Bonchon opens flagship location in Midtown

Bonchon, a global chain specializi­ng in Korean fried chicken, opened a 4,163-square-foot restaurant in Central Square Midtown, at 2100 Travis. It is the fourth restaurant in the Houston area for Bonchon, which has grown to more than 100 locations in the U.S. since 2006. Others are in Katy, Pearland and Sugar Land. Juliet Garcia of Claremont Property Co. represente­d the landlord.

Cavender's, a family owned Western and workwear retailer based in Tyler, purchased 1.75 acres in Village Crossing-Rosenberg as the site of a Cavender's Boot City. Jennifer Raymond of JPR Commercial Real Estate represente­d the seller, Village Crossing LLC. Sharon Biles of Sabre Properties represente­d the buyer. The deal marks the first project in the planned mixed-use developmen­t on U.S. 59, between Reading Road and FM 2218, according to Raymond.

Torchy’s Tacos ,an Austin-based chain with 18 area locations, is expanding in the Houston market. The company leased spaces to open at 11327 Current Lane in Stafford in the spring, and at 4818 Waterview Town Center Drive in the Aliana community in Richmond in the summer.

opened a 10,000-square-foot store at Market Street The Woodlands. The shop, selling indoor and outdoor home furnishing­s and home décor, is the third home store for the brand. Market Street is a joint venture of Trademark Property Co. and Institutio­nal Mall Investors.

Bank of America leased a 1.29-acre parcel in Grand Morton Town Center, a project of NewQuest Properties at the the Grand Parkway and Morton Ranch Road in Katy. The bank has broken ground on a 4,160-square-foot banking center with two drive-thru lanes. Completion is planned in May. Go Easy, a Dallas-based self-care shop owned by Molly Mathias, is expanding to Houston with a location in M-K-T Heights this summer, the company announced. Go Easy will sell skincare, CBD, sexual wellness products, luxury smoking accessorie­s, postpartum products and more from it shop in Building 1 at 600 N. Shepherd

Garden of Black Honey Spa leased 2,652 square feet at 6959 Harwin Drive for five years. Kat Morrison represente­d the landlord, Hartman Income REIT.
