No. 2 Baylor routs Kansas St.

WACO — Davion Mitchell made seven 3-pointers while scoring a career-high 31 points, MaCio Teague added 18 points, and No. 2 Baylor got another lopsided victory over Kansas State, 107-59 on Wednesday night.

After last month becoming the first opponent since 1992 to score 100 points at Kansas State in a 31-point victory, the Bears (15-0, 8-0 Big 12) jumped out to a 31-point lead in the first 11½ minutes in the rematch. Teague already had 11 points with three 3-pointers, and Wildcats coach Bruce Weber had already used two of his timeouts by then.

Jared Butler added 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists while Mayer had 10 points for Baylor, which hadn’t scored 100 points twice against an opponent in the same season since 1978-79 against TCU. It was the Bears’ second-largest margin of victory ever in a Big 12 game.

Nijel Pack had 11 points to lead Kansas State (5-12, 1-8), which has lost its last eight games.

HOUSTON BAPTIST 73 INCARNATE WORD 57

Darius Lee came off the bench to score 19 points to lift the Huskies to a win over the Cardinals in San Antonio.

Pedro Castro had 14 points and seven rebounds for Houston Baptist (3-12, 2-5 Southland Conference), which broke its five-game losing streak. Brycen Long added 10 points.

Keaston Willis had 14 points for Incarnate Word (6-7, 3-3).

NO. 13 OHIO STATE 83 PENN STATE 79

E.J. Liddell scored 22 points, including the tiebreakin­g free throws with

59.7 seconds left, and the host Buckeyes held off the Nittany Lions.

Ohio State (13-4, 7-4 Big Ten) squandered a 12-point first-half lead but rallied from a seven-point deficit in the second for its second consecutiv­e victory and fourth in five games.

Seth Lundy paced Penn State with 26 points.

NO. 16 FLORIDA STATE 81 MIAMI 59

Malik Osborne had 11 points and 10 rebounds, RaiQuan Gray added 10 points and 11 rebounds, and the host Seminoles routed the shorthande­d Hurricanes for their fifth straight victory.

M.J. Walker and Sardaar Calhoun also had 11 points apiece for Florida State (10-2, 6-1 Atlantic Coast Conference). Florida State trails only Virginia (7-0) in the ACC standings.

Mitch Ballock hit a goahead

3-pointer with 41 seconds to play to cap a season-high 29-point performanc­e, and the visiting Bluejays overcame a 16point second-half deficit to beat the Pirates.

Marcus Zegarowski added 18 points, and Creighton (12-4, 8-3 Big East) used a 14-2 run over the final 2:57 to steal one from Seton Hall (9-7, 6-4).

Nahiem Alleyne led four players in double figures with 15 points, and the visiting Hokies rebounded from their previous road loss to control the coldshooti­ng Fighting Irish.

Keve Aluma and Justyn Mutts had 14 points each, and reserve Hunter Cattoor scored 13 for Virginia Tech (12-3, 6-2 Atlantic Coast Conference).

Micah Potter had 23 points and 12 rebounds, and the Badgers slipped past the host Terrapins after blowing most of an 18-point halftime lead.

D’Mitrik Trice added 13 to help Wisconsin (13-4, 7-3 Big Ten) avenge a surprise loss to Maryland (9-8, 3-7) last month and bounce back from a home defeat to Ohio State over the weekend.

Aamir Simms had 16 points, Al-Amir Dawes added 15, and the Tigers (10-4, 4-4 ACC) turned up the defense to beat the visiting Cardinals (10-4, 5-3) and break a threegame losing streak.

Miya Crump scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds, Laila Blair added 14 points, and the Cougars used a late surge to defeat the Green Wave in New Orleans. Britney Onyeje record a careerhigh five steals to go along with 10 points for Houston (9-5, 6-4 American).

LAMAR 66 HOUSTON BAPTIST 61

Julija Vujakovic had 13 points, and Timia Jefferson added 12, but the Huskies fell just short to the Cardinals at Sharp Gym. Houston Baptist fell to 5-4 and 1-1 in the Southland Conference, while Lamar improved to 4-9 and 3-2 in the SLC.

OKLAHOMA STATE 68 TEXAS 51

Charli Collier had a monster game with 10 points and 17 rebounds, but her efforts couldn’t prevent the Longhorns from falling to the Cowgirls in Stillwater, Okla. Joanne Allen-Taylor and Karisma Ortiz added 11 points each for Texas (11-4, 5-3 Big 12).
