9 arrested for allegedly selling alcohol to teens

-

The Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office made nine arrests Wednesday night during a sting in which teens posed as if they were trying to purchase alcohol from different area businesses.

Precinct 4 deputies checked 61 establishments, primarily on the east side of the county, for compliance. Of these businesses, 85 percent were found to be following the law by declining to sell alcohol to those younger than age 21, according to Precinct 4.

Those found in noncompliance include four in New Caney, two in Kingwood, two in Porter and one in Conroe. All but one were listed as gas stations.
