The Pelicans, who hosted Milwaukee on Friday night, previously defeated Washington 124-106 on Wednesday night in New Orleans. The first six Pelicans home games were capped at 750 fans, but that number increased to 1,440 starting Friday night. … Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram both entered Friday night’s action averaging 23.9 points per game. Three other Pelicans (Eric Bledsoe, Lonzo Ball and Nickeil Alexander-Walker) also average in double digits at 13.1, 11.8 and 10.8 points per game, respective­ly. … The Pelicans have been one of the NBA’s biggest disappoint­ments in the early season, residing near the bottom of the Western Conference. Ball and fellow guard JJ Redick are reported to be on the trading block. … Stan Van Gundy replaced Alvin Gentry as Pelicans coach in October. Van Gundy led Orlando to the 2009 NBA Finals, which the Lakers won in five games. … The Pelicans hold a 17-16 overall home edge over the Rockets.
