Suspect arrested in Fiesta Mart crash that hurt 8

A driver was arrested Saturday after crashing an SUV into a Fiesta Mart, injuring eight people, police said.

The driver, who has not been identified, was found to be intoxicated and taken to the Harris County Joint Processing Center, according to police. His charge was not available as of Sunday afternoon.

The victims were hospitalized after being hit or wounded by debris, according to earlier reports. They were all expected to survive.

The store is located at 9420 Cullen Boulevard in south Houston.
