Letruska takes Houston Ladies

Letruska won the Grade 3 $300,000 Houston Ladies Classic at Sam Houston Race Park.

The 5-year-old was a 3½-length winner over Ujjayi. Lady Apple finished third.

The Houston Ladies Classic is the richest offering of the Sam Houston meet. Letruska’s win was worth $176,400 for St. George Stables. She has won 12 of 16 starts and has earned $487,319.
