18-wheeler, car collide, leaving person dead

One person was killed early Monday in a crash involving an 18-wheeler and a vehicle in southeast Austin, Austin-Travis County EMS medics said.

Medics at 2:07 a.m. responded to the westbound lanes of the 7200 block of Texas 71, near Montopolis Drive. The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
