Young returning to job at Texas

Texas has re-hired former Longhorns quarterbac­k Vince Young asa special assistant in the athletic department, bringing the College Football Hall of Famer back after he was fired in 2019.

After Young’s NFL career ended, he returned to Texas in a full-time, $100,000-a-year job as a career developmen­t officer. He was eventually dismissed for poor performanc­e.

• T.J. Storment ,a second-team All-Big 12 offensive tackle last year at TCU, will join Texas Tech as a graduate transfer.
