Texans fill two spots on staff
The Texans hired former Philadelphia Eagles assistant defensive coordinator Dino Vasso as secondary coach and former Indianapolis Colts assistant Frank Ross as special teams coordinator, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly.
Vasso coached for Philadelphia for the past five seasons. He was promoted to assistant coordinator/defense last year after previously being the assistant secondary coach.
A former Colts assistant special teams coach and New England Patriots scout, Ross collaborated with special teams coordinator Bubba Ventrone as Indianapolis ranked fourth in specialteams rankings.
Ross previously worked with Texans general manager Nick Caserio and executive vice president of football operations Jack Easterby in New England and earned a Super Bowl ring.
