School stadium to serve as a vaccination hub

Conroe ISD’s Woodforest Bank Stadium in Shenandoah will be turned into a vaccination site Friday and Saturday for residents of Montgomery County, in partnership with the Memorial Hermann Health System.

The vaccination site plan was officially announced at the CISD board workshop on Tuesday.

Memorial Hermann spokesperson Kathryn Williams wrote in an email the drive-thru site will be open at the stadium from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Public registration for the event will be available on the Memorial Hermann website and Facebook page for eligible residents in the 1B category. Approximately 6,400 vaccines will be administered.

“Because of the limited number of vaccines, walk-ups will not be accommodated,” Williams said.
