Texans hire Bischoff as tight ends coach
The Texans hired former Baltimore Ravens assistant Andy Bischoff as a tight ends coach, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly.
Bischoff worked with Texans coach David Culley in Baltimore as an assistant tight ends coach. Bischoff replaced tight ends coach Will Lawing, who is joining the staff at Alabama.
In other coaching moves, the Texans have shifted linebackers coach Bobby King to coach their defensive line and retained running backs coach Danny Barrett.
The Texans also hired Miles Smith, Texans defensive coordinator Lovie Smith’s son, to coach the linebackers.
The team also has interviewed Ravens assistant offensive line coach Richard Angulo.
