ANSWER: I would probably obediently lead a club, but a trump may also be right. EastWest appear to have nine or 10 hearts between them, in which case a trump lead is probably safe. Admittedly, a heart might serve to cut down dummy’s ruffs when West has a shapely hand with only four trumps. With better spade and diamond spots the passive defense of a trump lead would be more clearly indicated.
