Real estate agent is accused of assaulting child

A Katy real estate agent is facing charges of indecency and sexual contact with a child after authorities say he sexually assaulted a child for years.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff ’s Office arrested Robert Dana Burke, 49, on Feb. 1. He has been accused of forcing a child under the age of 16 to engage in sexual contact, according to his indictment records.

According to Burke’s arrest warrant, the sexual assaults began when the child was in middle school. The victim’s mother reported the assaults to police after being told by the child about them, the arrest report said.

A licensed real estate agent, Burke was released on a $25,000 bond, court records show. He is scheduled to appear for his first appearance in court on March 22.
