Regarding “‘Sheer cloudy vagueness’ cost one worker his job,” (A27, Feb. 7): So when a customer refuses to wear a mask, for whatever reason, thereby showing that he puts his own convenienc­e ahead of the health of everyone nearby, and an employee, charged with the task of enforcing the rules, does so as strongly as seems necessary, gets fired while the customer is allowed to continue endangerin­g others, I, a

longtime customer, am expected to side with the employer? I think not. I have been in that store for the last time!
