Dash star headed to England camp

Dash forward Rachel Daly is set to return to women’s international play after being added to the England national team’s February training camp.

The Harrogate, England, native will join the team Feb. 18 before the Lionesses’ matchup with Northern Ireland on Feb. 23.

Daly, the sixth overall pick in the 2016 NWSL draft, was on loan to West Ham United F.C. from Sept. 3 to Jan. 11. She scored five goals and had four assists in 12 appearances with West Ham.

Daly was a team captain for Houston’s 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup title squad. The club claimed the Cup with a 2-0 win over the

Chicago Red Stars, with Daly earning the league’s Golden Boot award and tournament MVP.
