Three suspects still at large in double shooting

Two people were shot early Thursday in northwest Harris County, and authorities are searching for three suspected assailants, officials said.

A man and woman were shot shortly after midnight on the 8100 block of Breezeway Street, said Sgt. Jason Brown of the Harris County Sheriff ’s Office. Deputies found the woman shot in the head. She was in critical condition and not expected to survive, Brown said.

Nearby, a man with a gunshot wound called 911 from a gas station on Fairbanks North Houston Road near U.S. 290. He also was taken to the hospital, Brown said.

Surveillance video shows three men approach the two victims, Brown said. An altercation broke out and then the suspects fired shots. The men fled on foot and have not been located. Multiple weapons were recovered and a “large amount” of shots were fired, Brown said.
