The ReelAbilit­ies Houston Film & Arts Festival, virtual this year, is produced by the Jewish Family Service Houston Alexander Institute for Inclusion in collaborat­ion with the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabiliti­es as well as more than 60 partners and 70-plus volunteers. UP Abilities: Speakers include Tony Award-winning actress, singer and humanitari­an Ali Stroker, the first actress to use a wheelchair for mobility on Broadway, who aims to improve lives through the arts; and Dan Habib, an award-winning documentar­y filmmaker who advocates for the end of systemic segregatio­n of people with disabiliti­es and whose adult son has cerebral palsy. 7-8:30 p.m. Feb. 16. $10

Notable films: World premiere of “One Step at a Time,” focused on Houstonian Michael McCulloch, a retired NASA engineer and blind athlete who will speak following the film, 7:30-9 p.m. Feb. 20; “Rising Phoenix” (also on Netflix), about the Paralympic Games’ impact on global understand­ing of disability, diversity and excellence, with discussion moderated by Houston Chronicle reporter and wheelchair user Elliott Lapin, 7-8 p.m. Feb. 21; and “Angst,” featuring candid interviews with children and young adults who live with anxiety and discussion­s with mental health experts about causes and sociologic­al effects; representa­tives of Jewish Family Service, which offers counseling, will discuss the film and pandemic-induced anxiety, 7 p.m. Feb. 23 (film available now). All films are free.

ReelMusic: Recorded concert’s featured performers include Emmanual Gilligan, Toni Hickman, Sashikala Nisankarao and Kyle Cousins with the ReelMusic house band, plus a celebrity drop-in from UP Abilities speaker Ali Stroker. 7-8 p.m. Feb. 24 on the festival website and Facebook page. Free
