Messina Hof winery opens in Harvest Green
Messina Hof Wine Cellars opened a winery at Harvest Green, the farm-centric community by Johnson Development Corp. near the Grand Parkway at West Airport Boulevard in Richmond. Messina Hof Harvest Green Winery & Kitchen, at 8921 Harlem Road, has a tasting room and 83-foot wine bar, full-service restaurant, covered patio, two private tasting rooms, a wine production and barrel room and wine warehouse. The menu incorporates Messina Hof wines with herbs and vegetables from Harvest Green’s neighborhood farm. The winery will house all of the company's direct-to-consumer shipping operations. Houstonbased Crain Group oversaw construction. Messina Hof also has locations in Bryan, Fredericksburg and Grapevine.
Dimassi’s Mediterranean Buffet leased 6,143 square feet at the Baybrook Passage Shopping Center, at Interstate 45 and Bay Area Boulevard in Webster. It will be the 11th area location for the family-owned and operated restaurant. Jack Burgher of Streetwise Retail Advisors represented the tenant. Elise Weatherall of Wulfe & Co. represented the landlord.
Main Chick Hot Chicken leased its first brick-and-mortar location at University Commons in Sugar Land. Main Chick, a spicy fried chicken restaurant owned by Ali Nasser and Ahmed Hlayel, opened as a food truck in the Montrose are in June 2020. Main Chick will continue to operate at 1731 Westheimer. Brad Ryan of Capital Retail Properties represented the landlord, Vista Management Co. Ashley Casterlin of Davis Commercial represented the tenant.
Smoosh Cookies leased 1,000 square feet at Westchase Shopping Center at Westheimer Road and Wilcrest Drive for its second brick-and-mortar store in Houston. The company started as a food truck selling ice cream sandwiches in 2015. Christi Vinzant represented the landlord, Weingarten Realty. John David Garza with Windsor Hill Real Estate Group represented the tenant. Opening is planned in the first quarter.
Main Squeeze Juice Co. leased 1,495 square feet at West Parkwood Place, 1501 W. Parkwood Ave., Friendswood. Joaquin Orozco of Resolut RE represented the tenant.
Brookwood Community ,an educational, residential and entrepreneurial organization for adults with disabilities, will sell locally made crafts and gifts at 2025 Hughes Landing in The Woodlands through April 24. Howard Hughes Corp. extended the complimentary use of the pop-up store for the non-profit organization.
Brightway, The John Rodger Agency, opened at 2717 Commercial Center Blvd., Suite 200 within La Centerra at Cinco Ranch in Katy. The business, owned by John Czapko, provides insurance for homes, vehicles and more.
Rosati's Pizza, a Chicagostyle pizza restaurant with 200 locations, is expanding in the Houston market. Franchisees Calvin Dodson and Darren Frankenberger plan to open a Rosati's sports pub in Kingwood in the summer. The location was not disclosed.
Wingstop and Domino's Pizza each leased 1,400 square feet in the Shops at Rock Creek, near Spring Cypress and Grant roads in Cypress, from NewQuest Properties.
