5-star QB recruit Murphy committing to Longhorns

Five-star quarterback Maalik Murphy of Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra High School has committed to the University of Texas.

Regarded as the nation’s No. 2 pro-style quarterback and as the No. 30 player nationally according to 247Sports composite ratings, the 6-4, 225pounder received more than 30 offers.
