Watch out for black ice
Black ice is almost invisible and can be deadly. It isn’t black as much as clear. Ice and snow are often easily noticeable, but in some cases ice loses all its cloudy properties. This is especially true when freezing rain or snow melt and then diving temperatures refreeze it without bubbles in the ice. It then can leave a practically invisible sheet of ice on a road. Hence, the asphalt looks dry, or black, but isn’t. Four-wheel-drive won’t save drivers. Stay calm, decelerate but don’t brake and steer in the direction you want to go.
