Rice ripped on the road

RUSTON, La. — Kalob Ledoux had a season-high 25 points as Louisiana Tech rolled past Rice 101-57 on Friday night.

Kenneth Lofton, Jr. had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Louisiana Tech (18-6, 11-4 Conference USA).

Cameron Sheffield had 17 points for the Owls (12-11, 6-9).

Quincy Olivari added 16 points and six rebounds.

Marquise Kennedy scored 16 points and the host Ramblers hung on tfor their 20th win of the season.

The Ramblers (20-4, 15-2 Missouri Valley Conference) steadied themselves in the closing minutes after letting a 16-point lead shrink to four and came out on top for the 13th time in 14 games.

They also reached 20 wins for the fourth straight year, a streak that started when the 2017-18 team went 32-6 and made the Final Four.

Women

RICE 73 LOUISIANA TECH 60

The Owls made a season-high 14 three-pointers en route to a win over the Bulldogs at Tudor Fieldhouse.

Jasmine Smith scored a game-high 16 points, including a season-high four three-pointers.

Senior center Nancy Mulkey picked up her fourth double-double of the year with 13 points and a season-high 14 rebounds while sophomore guard Katelyn Crosthwait also scored 13 points.

Rice (14-2, 10-1 Conference USA) outscored LA Tech (13-9, 8-8) 42-24 in the second half.

NO. 10 UCLA 93 SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA 51

Charisma Osborne recorded the ninth tripledoub­le in UCLA history, Michaela Onyenwere scored 30 points and the host Bruins cruised past the Trojans.

Osborne had 18 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists in 34 minutes.

Lindsey Corsaro added 14 points, including going 4 of 5 from beyond the arc, as UCLA (14-4, 12-4 Pac—12) posted its highest margin of victory over its crosstown rival since 1999.

Alissa Pili led USC (10-11, 8-10) with 18 points.
