Downtown bars set up shop on Main Street

Service King Collision will open a collision repair center experience at 10215 S. Texas 6 in Sugar Land this spring. The nearly 14,000-square-foot facility will be the 28th Service King in the Houston area. Founded in Dallas in 1976, Service King has grown to 300 locations across the U.S.

House of Pies Restaurant and Bakery leased the former PDQ Restaurant at 25686 Northwest Freeway in Cypress for a fifth location. Jeries M. Ganim with Regional Properties Texas represente­d the tenant.

Franchisee Greg Green will open a Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa at 2001 W. 34th in the Oak Forest area. The 3,045-square-foot location, leased from Braun Enterprise­s, is expected to create 15 to 20 jobs upon opening this summer.

Little Dipper, a downtown bar at 304 Main St., opened the first street patio as part of the More Space: Main Street program. The initiative, a partnershi­p between the City of Houston, Houston Downtown Management District and Houston Metropolit­an Transit Authority, allows restaurant­s and bars to create expanded patios on Main Street between Commerce and Rusk to provide more outdoor seating and help businesses recover from the impacts of the pandemic. Several more business applicatio­ns are in various stages of review and permitting for the program.

Painting with a Twist leased 1,790 square feet in the Atascocita Plaza Shopping Center, at 6900 FM 1960 E. in Humble, Texas. Kristen Barker of Wulfe & Co. represente­d the landlord.

Kumon Math and Reading Program is open at Lakeland Village Center, at 10611 Fry Road in Bridgeland. Jacob Weersing with Capital Retail Properties represente­d the landlord, The Howard Hughes Corp.

ThrIVe Drip Spa, a spa specializi­ng in customized IV vitamin drips and wellness boosters, sign a lease in Memorial Green, a mixed-use developmen­t by Midway at 12505 Memorial Drive. Opening is planned in late spring. It will be the fourth Houston location for ThrIVe.

Golden Chick opened at 125 Remington Valley Drive in north Houston. The fast-food chicken restaurant, operated by franchisee Alam Khandaker, is the seventh Golden Chick in the Houston area.

Sherwin Williams leased 3,950 square feet at 21360 U.S. 59 in Valley Ranch Town Center, a developmen­t of The Signorelli Co. in New Caney.

Donghui Li leased 1,260 square feet in Picasso Village, at 314 Sawdust Road in Spring. Eva Horton and Scott Lewis of Newmark represente­d the landlord, Watumull Woodlands I LLC.

H2Go smoke shop leased 1,175 square feet at Hunter Plaza, 5502 N. Fry Road, Katy. Jim Thompson and Benny Nguyen of Resolut RE represente­d the landlord. Omar Dominguez of Pure Realty represente­d the tenant.
