Fein sells apartments in Springwoods Village
CDC Houston, the master developer of the Springwoods Village community in Spring, acquired the Mark at CityPlace Springwoods Village from Houston-based apartment developer Martin Fein Interests. Fein purchased the 3.75acre site from CDC Houston in 2014 and opened the six-story, 268-unit complex at 1600 Springwoods Plaza Drive in 2017. Fein also developed the recently opened Canopy apartments and Belvedere, which was completed in 2014 and purchased by Wisconsinbased MLG Capital last year.
Greenberg Traurig ,a global law firm, renewed a lease for 37,300 square feet at Wells Fargo Plaza, 1000 Louisiana, for its relocation within the downtown office tower. CBRE’s Marilyn Guion and Warren Savery represented the landlord. Lispah Hogan and Mike Shuler of Newmark represented the tenant.
Syntech Chemicals
purchased an 18,000square-foot chemical plant at 7500 FM 1405 in Baytown from TGS Cedar Port Partners. Bill Rudolph and Kyle Golding of CBRE represented the buyer. Joel Michael, John Simons and Holden Rushing of NAI Partners represented the seller.
Bolcof/Lieberman Realty purchased five fully leased buildings that make up the 42,000-square-foot industrial business park at 6315-6363 Theall Road. Clint Hankla and Justin Cole of Lee & Associates represented the buyer. Michelle Soderberg with Colliers International represented the seller, LCG Lieberman Realty.
A Houston investor purchased OYO Townhouse Houston, a 97-room hotel at 12701 North Freeway in a short sale transaction. Short sales occur when a property sells for less than is owed on the loan. The buyer plans to convert the hotel into a national franchise brand, according to Marcus & Millichap, which brokered the sale and arranged financing. The fourstory property, built in 1996, was listed for $2.25 million.
Disrupt Equity purchased the Porterwood Apartments, a 136-unit complex at 24270 FM 1314 Road in Porter from BH Equities. Multifamily Group’s Bryce Smith brokered the sale.
Village Medical, a primary health care provider, signed a 7,430-square-foot lease in Building 5 of M-K-T, an office and retail redevelopment at 600 N. Shepherd Drive in the Heights. Walker Pennington, Chris Wadley and Bryant Lach of JLL negotiated the lease. The deal follows the recent lease of a 6,095-square-foot office space to Compass ,a real estate company, in Building 5. Joshua Meltzer and Jennifer Meehan of Savills represented Compass. M-K-T is a joint venture of Triten Real Estate Partners, Radom Capital and Long Wharf Capital.
