Man accused of assaulting teen in storage unit
Constable’s deputies on Wednesday arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a teen while locking her in a storage unit for five days.
Joel Micah Arnold, 34, took the 17-year-old to a storage facility in the 19100 block of FM 529 in Cypress on March 27, according to the Harris County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office.
Arnold held her against her will for five days, displaying a firearm, forcibly injecting her with drugs and sexually assaulting her, spokesman Kevin Quinn said.
He eventually let her go, he said, and she contacted the Precinct 1 Human Trafficking Unit on April 8.
Constable’s deputies and state troopers on Wednesday arrested Arnold, who was charged with aggravated kidnapping, trafficking a child and sexual assault — all felonies.
Investigators believe there could be other victims.
Anyone with information about Arnold or victims of human trafficking is asked to call the Precinct 1 human trafficking hotline at 832-927-1650.
