With family by her side, Melissa Miller Neelley, beloved sister, aunt, great-aunt, niece, Godmother and friend, passed away April 10, 2021.

Melissa was born in Houston, Texas to Ann Donnelly Miller (Grant) and John Clement Miller who have both preceded her in death along with her grandparen­ts John Francis and Doris Corrigan Donnelly (of Texas) and Charles and Helen Miller (of Ohio).

She is survived by her sisters, Michele Miller Nall and brother-in-law John Michael Nall, Marlene Miller Gilbert, Monette Miller, and brother Matthew Miller and sisterin-law Betsy McGiboney Miller. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Kelly Nall Bursmith (spouse Steve), Lindsey Nall Guindi (spouse Danny), Leslie Gilbert Hokanson (spouse Chris), Ross Gilbert, Amanda Miller (spouse Shannon), Riley McGiboney and Avery McGiboney, as well as her great-nieces and nephews Danielle, Taylor, Abigail, Victor, Gray, Ellis and Cohen and multiple aunts, uncles and cousins. Melissa so lovingly cared for her family and each generation has been touched and profoundly impacted by her kindness and generosity.

She was a 1976 graduate of Spring Woods Senior High School and went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree at Sam Houston State University in 1980.

Profession­ally, Melissa enjoyed a successful 35 years in Real Estate Developmen­t as an Asset Manager with companies such as InterCapit­al Partners and Trammel Crow. After retirement, she was able to travel and explore new places around the world as well as experience quality time with family on trips and excursions to museums, plays, and the ballet.

At her request, no official service will be held. In lieu of flowers and to honor and support her passion for the arts, Melissa requested donations be made to The Houston Ballet or your local ballet company.
