Crash that killed cyclist, 73, under investigation
A Sunday morning hit-and-run crash that killed a bicyclist remains under investigation, Houston police said.
Around 8 a.m., the cyclist, identified as James Turley, 73, was riding northbound along Spur 5 near Elgin. As Turley turned onto Elgin riding his three-wheeled recumbent bike, he was struck by a westbound driver on Elgin. Police said the driver did not stop. Turley was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a release, police said they were unsure who had the right of way when the collision happened. Officials did not provide any description of the vehicle.
Regardless of the circumstances, it is illegal to leave the scene of an injury crash or fail to stop and verify if anyone was harmed.
