How long have you lived in your community and what makes it a great place to live?

I have lived in Lockney since I was in the 4th grade, Lockney is a great community with kind and friendly people. Everyone in Lockney is close like a family and everyone knows each other in some way.

What do you hope to do after high school?

I hope to pursue a career in counseling. I feel like it’s been my calling from God to help people and be a friendly face for when people are going through a rough time. Watching my mother impact so many people over the years has really inspired me to follow in her footsteps but at the same time make my own.

Why do you think it is important to be a good citizen at school and in your community?

It is so important to be a good citizen at school and in your community because you don’t know what anyone is going through at home or anything. I have really lived off of the quote “treat others the way you want to be treated”. I have treated everyone with kindness and respect because that is how I would like to be treated and at the same time you create bonds with people and learn more about people.
