Mary Katherine Seber, 96, was born on September 7th, 1924, in Garrison, TX. She left this Earth on May 31st, 2021. She grew up on a farm in a little town called Timpson. At the age of 12 she got her driver’s license so she could drive the milk truck for her daddy after he injured his back. When she turned 18 she wanted to help out during WWII since her brother was serving overseas. So, her daddy sent her to Marshall, TX to learn how to weld. She was then picked to move to Houston, TX to build battle ships in the port of Houston. It was at the Brown Shipbuildi­ng Co. that she met the love of her life, Irvin Seber! After a month of dating, Irvin asked her daddy for her hand in marriage. Her daddy said no, but she wasn’t aware of this until after they were married. They married July 12, 1943 and remained married until his passing in 1995. She is preceded in death by her parents Luther Beckham and Katie Parker Beckham. Her siblings Marian Harris, James Beckham, Janice Hudman, and Osler Beckham. Her husband Irvin Seber and grandson Joey Lynn Swonke. She is survived by her children and spouses John and Linda Seber, Barbara Seber Swonke, Steven and Maria Seber. Grandchild­ren Bethany Deloach, Curtis Seber, Jeremy Swonke, Gina Alvarado, Lindsey Seber, Lucas Seber, and great-grandchild­ren Mikale Vadell, Kaitlyn, Kamryn, and Kristyn Swonke, Heaven Brewer, Luke and Seth Johnson, Joilyn and Nathanial Alvarado, Cavren Cochrell and Kinsley Seber. Great- Great grandchild­ren Reina and Laurel Vadell. Sister-in-law Barbara Ann Seber and numerous nephews and nieces.
