Christian Aguirre Carr (24) of Spring, Texas, passed away on June 29th, 2021 after a 6-month battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving parents, Wesley and Ivonne Carr, his sister, Flavia Carr, his grandfathe­r, Bernardo Aguirre and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparen­ts Warren and Virginia Carr, and Amelia Aguirre, as well as his cousin Antonio Ramos.

Christian achieved his dream of attending Rice University and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Art in English and Political Science in 2019. He was placed in Duncan College and worked on campus at Rice Housing and Dining during his time there. After graduation he worked as the Digital Marketing and Database Coordinato­r for the Houston SPCA. Christian was an amazing local artist and duct tape was his medium, some of his work can be viewed on Instagram @ductology. His body was donated to Science Care in hopes of advancing a cure for cancer, and to help others, as was his mission in life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be designated to the Access, Opportunit­y & Inclusion Gift Fund at Rice University.

A memorial to celebrate his life will be held at Rice University at the Commons on Sunday August 1st at 10am.
