Pickering Energy Partners expands reach
Pickering Energy Partners, a Houstonbased energy financial services firm, has merged with Heikkinen Energy Advisors, a Houston investment adviser serving the energy industry, including exploration and production, oil field services, midstream, energy transition, mobility and technology.
Terms of the transaction, which will allow Pickering Energy to solidify its role in energy transition, were not disclosed.
PEP merged with SailingStone, an investment firm active in both energy transition and global natural resources public equities, earlier this year.
Thoma Bravo buys Houston software firm
Private equity firm Thoma Bravo has acquired Houston’s iOFFICE, a workplace experience and asset management software-as-aservice business, from Waud Capital Partners. iOFFICE CEO Mark Peterson and the existing management team will continue to lead the company. Financial details were not disclosed.
Founded in 2002 and acquired by Waud Capital in 2018, iOFFICE enables businesses to manage their workplaces
and optimize physical asset performance. It serves Fortune 500 clients such as Starbucks and Progressive Insurance.
ChampionX closes deal for monitoring firm
ChampionX Corp. closed on its acquisition of Scientific Aviation Inc., a site-specific and regional methane emissions monitoring solutions business.
ChampionX, based in Houston, specializes in
chemistry solutions and highly engineered equipment and technologies that help companies drill for and produce oil and gas around the world. ChampionX’s products provide efficient functioning throughout the lifecycle of a well with a focus on the production phase of wells.
Westlake unit buys maker of PVC fittings
North American Pipe Corp., a subsidiary of Westlake Chemical
Corp., said it would acquire Lasco Fittings Inc., a Brownsville, Tenn.-based designer, engineer and manufacturer of injected-molded PVC fittings, from Aalberts NV.
Lasco operates a 48-acre, 500,000square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility in Brownsville, Tenn., northeast of Memphis. It has eight regional distribution facilities throughout the U.S.
North American Pipe is a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe manufacturer. Founded in 1992, it supplies a broad range of gasketed, solvent welded and restrained joint pipes for a diverse range of markets, including municipal water and sewer, residential plumbing, water well, and agricultural and turf irrigation.
C-Bond buys San Antonio-based tint distributor
C-Bond Systems, a nanotechnology solutions company, has agreed to acquire an 80 percent stake in Mobile Tint LLC, doing business as A1 Glass Coating. C-Bond has the right to purchase the balance of A1 Glass, and several closing conditions remain outstanding. Other terms were not disclosed.
A1 Glass, is a San Antonio-based distributor and installer of window film solutions, including C-Bond’s BRS and CBond Secure, had annual revenue of approximately $2 million in both 2019 and 2020.
As part of the transaction, A1 Glass’ owneroperator, Michael Wanke, will join C-Bond as President of its Safety Solutions Group.
