HILLARY WALLIS ZAPATA

-

1982-2021

Hillary Wallis Zapata passed into eternal life at the young age of 39 on August 21, 2021, surrounded by her family after a valiant battle against a rare Uveal Melanoma cancer. Her smile, unselfishness, devotion to her family, determination, style and spirit were with her throughout her treatments, and gave her loved ones hope she could be with us just a while longer. She was a remarkable person and her loss is felt profoundly by all who knew her. Hillary grew up in Sugar Land and earned a BBA from TCU where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She returned to Houston and met James at her first job and he was instantly determined to spend his life with her. Hillary is survived by her husband James, children Jackson, Hudson and Harper; twin sister Heather Albrecht, husband Luke, and children Drew, Allie and Kate; parents Debbie and John Wallis; half-sister Lisa Wallis Jordan, husband Steve and daughter Savannah. A celebration of Hillary’s life will be held on Saturday, August 28 at 10 AM at First Presbyterian Church of Houston. Masks are required in the church and during the service. Hillary requested that we dress in colorful attire. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to honor her memory to the Houston SPCA or St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. James, Heather, Debbie and John would like to thank the many family, friends and medical personnel who helped Hillary make the most of the last 20 months.
