John Edgar Sausage, Jr., age 46, was born December 6, 1974 in Houston, Texas and left this earth to be with his heavenly family on Thursday, August 26, 2021 in Houston, Texas, surrounded by his family.

A native Houstonian, John’s family lived in the Cloverleaf community until 2019 when they moved to the Atascocita area. He attended Pyburn Elementary, Galena Park Junior High, and Galena Park High School, and graduated in 1997 from North Shore High School.

John enjoyed life, North Shore football games, the Houston Rodeo, the circus, Broadway musicals, country music and concerts, his Lee College class, the Baytown ARC group, the Special Olympics, holidays, and family time together.

He is preceded in death by his grandparen­ts, Joseph Sausage, Valearie Raines Sausage, Cora Fussell Murchison, and Charley Murchison; aunts, Lena Sausage Goodson, Patricia Sausage Kocurek, Mary Stephenson; and uncle, H.R. (Hank) Stephenson.

Left to cherish John’s memory are his father, John Edgar Sausage, Sr.; mother, Betty Murchison Sausage; brother, Craig Hopper; sister, Tracy Hopper; nephew, Kyle Herrington; uncles, Charles Murchison and wife Judy, Terry Murchison and wife Ranae; aunt, Christine Sausage Drozd; cousins, Darryl Murchison, Sheryl Lemman and husband Don, Lynn Schreck and husband Tom, Wendi Lindsey and husband Jeff, Kelly Hollier and husband Patrick, Jacob Rodriguez, Troy Rodriguez and wife Karen, Jacob Schreck and wife Katie, Will Schreck, Luke Lindsey, Leo Hollier, Austin Hollier, Ella Lindsey, Hannah Hollier and Morgan Hollier, and many other family and friends.

The family invites you to join them for a visitation on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Carter-Conley Funeral Home located at 13701 Corpus Christi Street, Houston, Texas from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Funeral services for John will be held in the chapel of Carter-Conley Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. A funeral procession will then depart for a 1:00 P.M. graveside service at San Jacinto Memorial Park in Houston, Texas under the direction of Carter-Conley Funeral Home.
