SMU (2-0) AT LOUISIANA TECH (1-1)

When/where: 2:30 p.m. at Aillet Stadium, Ruston, La. TV: CBS Sports Network.

Update: Tanner Mordecai has a completion rate of 80 percent for SMU, which is averaging 513 yards of offense. Louisiana Tech has played close games, falling to Mississipp­i State 35-34 and edging Southeaste­rn Louisiana 45-42.

BAYLOR (2-0) AT KANSAS (1-1)

When/where: 2:30 p.m. at Kansas Memorial Stadium, Lawrence, Kan.

Update: Kansas, which has had three kicks blocked over its first two games, opens Big 12 play against a team it hasn’t beaten since 2007. Baylor has wins over Texas State (29-20) and Texas Southern (66-7). LAMAR (1-1) AT NORTHERN COLORADO (1-1) When/where: 3 p.m. at Nottingham Field, Greely, Colo. Update: For the third straight week, Lamar will face a first-time opponent. Northern Colorado is trying to win consecutiv­e games for the first time since 2016.

MIDDLE TENNESSEE (1-1) AT UTSA (2-0)

When/where: 5 p.m. at Alamodome, San Antonio. Update: UTSA, which has a road win over Illinois, is coming off a 54-0 home victory over Lamar for the Roadrunner­s’ first shutout and largest margin of victory. UTSA held on for a 37-35 win over Middle Tennessee in last season’s Conference USA opener.

FLORIDA INTERNATIO­NAL (1-1) AT TEXAS TECH (2-0)

When/where: 6 p.m. at Jones AT&T Stadium, Lubbock.

Update: Texas Tech, which has back-to-back 100-yard rushing performanc­es from Tahj Brooks, is aiming for its first 3-0 start since 2017. Butch Davis is in his fifth season at FIU, coming off a 23-17 overtime loss to Texas State.

UAB (1-1) AT NORTH TEXAS (1-1)

When/where: 6:30 p.m. at Apogee Stadium, Denton. Update: UAB, three-time reigning Conference USA West champion, looks to rebound from a 56-7 pounding by Georgia. The Blazers have won the past two meetings with North Texas, which has created four turnovers in each of its first two games.

INCARNATE WORD (1-1) AT TEXAS STATE (1-1)

When/where: 6 p.m. at Bobcat Stadium, San Marcos. Update: Incarnate Word has surpassed 40 points in each game. Texas State, which has recovered four fumbles, is looking for its first winning streak since 2019 and to match last season’s number of victories.

MISSISSIPP­I VALLEY STATE (0-1) AT SFA (1-1)

When/where: 6 p.m. at Homer Bryce Stadium, Nacogdoche­s.

Update: Mississipp­i Valley State is coming off an open date after opening its season with a 35-0 loss at Murray State. SFA gave Texas Tech a scare, coming up short in a 28-22 road defeat while passing for 343 yards.

HOUSTON BAPTIST (0-2) AT PRAIRIE VIEW A&M (1-1)

When/where: 6 p.m. at Panther Stadium, Prairie View. Update: This will be their first meeting. HBU linebacker Brennan Young leads the Southland with 21 tackles. Prairie View’s Jawon Pass has thrown for 542 yards.
