OTHER STATE GAMES TO WATCH

KANSAS ST. (3-3) AT TEXAS TECH (5-2)

When/where: 11 a.m. at Jones AT&T Stadium, Lubbock. TV: FS1.

Update: Kansas State is 3-0 when running for more than 300 yards, and Texas Tech has allowed 300 yards rushing in two of its past four games. The Wildcats have lost three straight games, all in the Big 12. The Red Raiders need one win for bowl eligibilit­y but likely will be underdogs in each of their final four games.

LIBERTY (5-2) AT NORTH TEXAS (1-5)

When/where: 11 a.m. at Apogee Stadium, Denton. Update: In the only previous meeting in this series, North Texas won 47-7 in 2018. Liberty’s Malik Willis has passed for 1,462 yards and rushed for team-high 655. North Texas has lost five in a row.

INCARNATE WORD (5-1) AT MCNEESE (2-4)

When/where: noon at Cowboy Stadium, Lake Charles, La. Update: The first time these Southland Conference teams met this season, Incarnate Word secured its first shutout (31-0) as a NCAA Division I program. The Cardinals are in the midst of their best start.

TEXAS STATE (2-4) AT GEORGIA STATE (2-4)

When/where: 1 p.m. Saturday at Center Parc Stadium in Atlanta.

Update: Brady McBride has thrown six intercepti­ons for Texas State, which has a team-high 220 rushing yards from Calvin Hill. Georgia State is coming off an open date. TV/radio: ESPN+.

JACKSONVIL­LE ST. (3-3) AT SAM HOUSTON (5-0)

When/where: 2 p.m. at Bowers Stadium, Huntsville. Update: Sam Houston is one of six remaining unbeaten teams in FCS. This will mark the 200th Bearkats game at Bowers, which opened in 1986. Sam Houston has won 150 of those games.

PRAIRIE VIEW (5-1) AT SOUTHERN (3-3)

When/where: 6 p.m. at Mumford Stadium, Baton Rouge, La.

Update: This game was scheduled twice in the spring without being played. The Panthers, who lead the SWAC in offense (436.7), are 4-0 in the conference and the Jaguars are 2-1.

NICHOLLS (2-4) AT HBU (0-6)

When/where: 6 p.m. at Husky Stadium.

Update: Nicholls won the first meeting of the season between the schools 48-17 three weeks ago in Louisiana. Freshman quarterbac­k Orion Olivas will make his second start for the Huskies.

CENTRAL ARKANSAS (2-4) AT LAMAR (2-4)

When/where: 6 p.m. at Provost Umphrey Stadium, Beaumont.

Update: Freshman Mike Chandler recorded his first start at quarterbac­k last week in Lamar’s 24-17 loss at Abilene Christian.

WEST VIRGINIA (2-4) AT TCU (3-3)

When/where: 6:30 p.m. at Amon G. Carter Stadium, Fort Worth.

TV: ESPNU.

Update: Linemen Tajh Alston (five sacks) and Dante Stills (four) have led a West Virginia defense that has 80 quarterbac­k pressures. Playing through a foot injury, quarterbac­k Max Duggan leads a TCU offense that put up 529 yards against Oklahoma. But TCU has allowed 525 yards or more in three of its past four games. Running back Zach Evans is expected to return from injury for the Horned Frogs.

ALCORN ST. (4-2) AT TEXAS SOUTHERN (2-4)

When/where: 7 p.m. at BBVA Stadium.

Update: The only SWAC team to opt out of the spring football season, Alcorn State is 3-0 in the league. TSU committed five turnovers in its 34-20 loss to Grambling State last week.

SFA (3-3) AT DIXIE STATE (0-6)

When/where: 8 p.m. at Zion Stadium, St. George, Utah. Update: B.J. Thompson has 5½ sacks for the Lumberjack­s, who have lost two straight close games and are coming off an open date. Dixie State is in its second season at the FCS level.
