SMU (7-1) AT MEMPHIS (4-4)

When/where: 11 a.m. at Liberty Bowl, Memphis, Tenn.

TV: ESPNU.

Update: The game features two of the nation’s top passing attacks, with SMU ranked ninth and Memphis 18th. A right shoulder injury has made Memphis freshman quarterbac­k Seth Henigan a game-time decision. SMU quarterbac­k Tanner Mordecai is second nationally with 32 TD passes.

DIXIE STATE (0-8) AT SAM HOUSTON (7-0)

When/where: Noon at Bowers Stadium, Huntsville.

Update: The game matches teams with the best and worst records in the WAC. Sam Houston has won its past 18 games.

TSU (3-5) AT JACKSON STATE (7-1)

When/where: 1 p.m. at Mississipp­i Veterans Memorial Stadium, Jackson, Miss.

Update: TSU quarterbac­k Andrew Body accounted for 392 yards in a 59-17 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

ULM (4-4) AT TEXAS STATE (2-6)

When/where: 2 p.m. at Bobcat Stadium, San Marcos.

Update: Texas State is coming off being shut out for the first time since 2002 in a 45-0 loss at Louisiana. ULM has lost 11 straight on the road dating to its last trip to Bobcat Stadium, when the Warhawks defeated Texas State 24-14.

S.E. LOUISIANA (7-1) AT UIW (6-2)

When/where: 2 p.m. at Benson Stadium, San Antonio.

Update: This will be final home game for UIW, which is off to its best start since the program began in 2009. Cameron Ward’s 26 touchdown passes have bettered his UIW school-record 24 from last season. With a win, No. 6 SLU can clinch a share of the Southland title.

N. TEXAS (2-6) AT SOUTHERN MISS (1-7)

When/where: 2 p.m. at Roberts Stadium, Hattiesbur­g, Miss.

Update: In winning at Rice 30-24 in overtime last week, UNT picked up its first CUSA victory. Southern Miss is looking for its initial league win after four losses.

ALABAMA STATE (3-4) AT PRAIRIE VIEW (6-1)

When/where: 2 p.m. at Panther Stadium, Prairie View.

Update: After an open date, the Panthers return to action for homecoming. In their previous game, the Panthers routed Southern 48-21 in the Jaguars’ homecoming.

BAYLOR (7-1) AT TCU (3-5)

When/where: 2:30 p.m. at Amon G. Carter Stadium, Fort Worth.

TV: Fox.

Update: Abram Smith leads the Big 12 and is fourth nationally at 7.38 yards per carry for 12th-ranked Baylor. TCU is playing its first game without Gary Patterson, who was fired as Horned Frogs coach this week after a 31-12 defeat at Kansas State.

HBU (0-8) AT NWSU (1-7)

When/where: 3 p.m. at Turpin Stadium, Natchitoch­es, La.

Update: HBU goes on the road for final time this season. The Demons’ lone victory this season was at HBU, 21-17. True freshman quarterbac­k Orion Olivas threw for a career-best 274 yards on 38 completion­s last week in Northweste­rn State’s 49-21 defeat at Incarnate Word.

EASTERN KENTUCKY (6-2) AT SFA (5-3)

When/where: 4 p.m. at Homer Bryce Stadium, Nacogdoche­s.

Update: Cornerback Jeremiah Walker, a Dulles product, was named WAC Defensive Player of the Week after two intercepti­ons in a 41-27 win over ACU. Riding a fivegame win streak, Eastern Kentucky is making its first trip to Texas.

LAMAR (1-6) AT TARLETON (4-4)

When/where: 6 p.m. at Memorial Stadium, Stephenvil­le.

Update: Langham Creek product Adrian Owens had a game-high seven tackles in Lamar’s 42-10 loss to Eastern Kentucky. Tarleton’s Steven Duncan threw for 403 yards and four scores in a 45-27 loss to Sam Houston.

UTSA (8-0) AT UTEP (6-2)

When/where: 9:15 p.m. at Sun Bowl, El Paso.

TV: ESPN2.

Update: Of the 61 FBS games this week, none match teams with better records. A win by UTEP (3-1 C-USA) would tie them with UTSA, one of six unbeaten FBS teams, atop the conference standings. The Miners’ defense, No. 1 in the league and sixth nationally, is led by end Praise Amaewhule, a product of Katy Taylor.
