Nagy keeps his focus on Bears’ season finale

- WIRE REPORTS

CHICAGO — The Chicago Bears appear to be in for some big changes once the season ends. No one needed to remind coach Matt Nagy what that means for him.

A 29-3 romp over the New York Giants on Sunday might have been his final home game at Soldier Field. And the season finale at Minnesota could mark the end of his fouryear tenure.

“I take it day by day,” Nagy said after Sunday’s game. “If it goes that way, it’s meant to be.”

For now, he’s focused on the final game and trying to end a dismal season on a more positive note. The Bears (6-10) have back-to-back wins after losing eight of nine. And they hope to have quarterback Justin Fields return to the lineup when they visit the Vikings.

The rookie has missed the past two games because of an ankle injury. The Bears will have a better handle on his availability when they return to practice Wednesday.

In Fields’ absence, veteran Nick Foles led Chicago to a comeback win at Seattle and Andy Dalton started against New York after being sidelined because of a groin issue.

Raiders rookie faces DUI charge

Las Vegas Raiders rookie cornerback Nate Hobbs was arrested on a misdemeanor DUI charge shortly after the team returned from a road victory in Indianapolis.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement Monday that dispatch received a call at about 4 a.m. about a driver asleep inside a vehicle parked on an exit ramp of a parking garage.

Police made contact and Hobbs failed a field sobriety test and was booked at the Clark County Detention Center for a misdemeanor DUI.

Las Vegas police spokesman Officer Aden Ocampo Gomez said Hobbs was processed following his arrest. Jail records did not reflect whether Hobbs was still in custody by Monday afternoon.

Titans activate receiver Jones

The Tennessee Titans, who could clinch the AFC’s No. 1 seed with a win Sunday in Houston, activated wide receiver Julio Jones, linebacker Jayon Brown and reserve offensive lineman Kendall Lamm from the reserve/COVID 19 list. Elsewhere:

• Philadelphia has put defensive tackle Fletcher Cox and tight end Dallas Goedert along with 10 others on the list ahead of Saturday’s regular-season finale against Dallas.

Under the NFL’s revised COVID-19 protocols, the Eagles, who already have clinched a playoff berth, could get all 12 back before kickoff.

• Denver placed kicker Brandon McManus and punter Sam Martin on the list.

• Green Bay put Dennis Kelly, who has started the past three games at right tackle, and starting safety Darnell Savage on the list.
