-

Catherine Jane (Cathy) Chiles Wyatt, 55, was born April 2, 1966, at Memorial Hospital in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to Dr. Richard Ellison and Linda Lewis Chiles. She died peacefully at home, March 29, 2022, surrounded by family.

The oldest of three girls, Cathy grew up in Waurika, Oklahoma, attending Waurika schools from kindergarten through 12th grade. She excelled academically, chosen for both National and Oklahoma honor societies. She was active in junior high and high school basketball, cheerleading, and other activities and graduated with the class of 1984. Cathy graduated from Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, Oklahoma, in 1988. While there, she was active in Gamma Rho, a social sorority.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, she was immediately employed by Kerr-McGee Oil and Gas Corporation in Oklahoma City. From Oklahoma City, Cathy moved to Houston with Kerr-McGee Oil at age 25, becoming one of the youngest accounting managers in the company. In Houston Cathy met the love of her life, Barry Wayne Wyatt. The couple wed February 13, 1993. At this time, Cathy went to work in the Accounting Department of El Paso Exploration & Production Company. Eventually Cathy and Barry purchased National Well Supplies, and she became the CFO of the family company.

Cathy was an exceptional woman who loved her home and her family. She was a spiritual person, baptized into Christ at the age of 11, at the Waurika Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister, who will be remembered forever. She was a loyal fan of the Oklahoma University Sooners sports teams, especially football, basketball, and softball. In fact, Cathy breathed OU football, and had a sizeable twitter football following of the team.

Cathy is survived by her husband Barry and their daughter Gabriella of Houston; her mother Linda L. Chiles of Waurika, Oklahoma; her sister Suzie Lebovich, brother-in-law David, and niece Ellie of Flower Mound, Texas; and her sister Honey Freis, brother-in-law Jason, and nieces Ruby and Olivia of Allen, Texas. Cathy is also survived by her mother-inlaw Emily Wyatt of Sugar Land, and Barry’s siblings and their families: Chris Wyatt and wife Nancy, and their children Jason (Rachel), Scott (Aly), Paden (Monica), Hillary Bargini (Steve), and Britt Wyatt; Randell Wyatt and wife Susan, and their children Clint (Erin), Brett, and Brittany Gonzales (Raymond); Debbie Eubank and husband Greg, and their daughters Abby Edwards (Justin), and Katy Sisk (Ty); Anissa Deal and husband Mark, and their sons Wyatt and Myles. Cathy also leaves behind loving great nieces and great nephews on the Wyatt family side. Her father Richard E. Chiles D.D.S., of Waurika, Oklahoma, and her father-in-law Syd B. Wyatt, of Anson, Texas, preceded Cathy in death.
