BERNICE GRANT-NELL

January 22, 1941 - May 17, 2022

Alice “Bernice” Grant-Nell was born in Fordland, Missouri on January 22, 1941, she was one of four children born to parents Everett and Glee Burks. Bernice went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2022, at the age of 81.

Bernice was blessed with a beautiful family who loved her very much. Three children, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, who loved her and helped her throughout her years as she also did for them. Bernice enjoyed traveling with family and making memories. She enjoyed going shopping, traveling to Branson and Aruba, going out to dinner, and dancing. Bernice was a strong woman throughout her life. So, she raised her children to do the same. Her children and grandchildren appreciate the support and love she always gave them.

She is preceded in death by her father, Everett; mother, Glee; husband, Edmund Stephen Grant, Jr.; grandchild, Summer Grant and sister, Ivonne German. Bernice is survived by her husband, Guy Nell of 30 years of marriage; sister, Clara Nichols; brother, Ronnie Burks; daughter, Brenda Denham; son, Marc Grant and wife Sheryl; son, Michael Grant; grandchildren, Courtney, Stephen, Morgan, Tyler, Heather, and

Lance. Great-grandchildren, Riley, Cason, Carter, Savannah, and Nolan. As well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to a visitation with a reception on Monday, May 23, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 South Kirkwood Rd. in Stafford, immediately followed by the funeral service.

The Interment is to follow, at Morton Cemetery, 401 N. Second St. in Richmond.
